FLORENCE, Ala. - The Fisk University Lady Bulldog Women's Basketball team is off to their best start in the 21st century as they prepare to face NCAA Division I opponent, the University of North Alabama. Their impressive 2-0 start becomes even more notable given that three starters have been sidelined due to injuries. In the victory over Brewton-Parker, Fisk played without Ish Suttington and Sariyah Williams, both highly recruited junior college transfers. Despite these absences, sophomore Kayla Lee stepped up, scoring a career-high 29 points in the 59-56 win. The following day, without starting point guard Harmonie Bolton, Lee scored 28 points, and was supported by freshman Ari Branch's 22, to help avenge a 2024 Homecoming loss to the University of Mobile.
