Fisk Gymnastics to Send Seven to National Championships
2025 qualifiers are the most in team history.
Record-Breaking Season
SHREVEPORT, La. (April 4, 2025) - The Fisk University Gymnastics Team has had a remarkable season, set several records and achieved unprecedented success. The Bulldogs defeated 11 opponents, won four consecutive meets outright, beat both NCAA Division I and II teams in one meet, and secured victories against seven straight opponents. All firsts for the program.
This year, the team will send seven gymnasts to compete in the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics National Invitational Championships (WCGIC) in Shreveport, Louisiana. This accomplishment marks the highest number of qualifiers in the team's history and shows the dedication and talent of the athletes and their coaches.
Path to the Championships

- Morgan Price achieved the first perfect score by an HBCU gymnast on the Uneven Bars. Price will be defending her All Around championship where she scored 39.225, becoming the first HBCU gymnast to win a National Championship. (Bars 10, Beam 9.9, Floor 9.925, and Vault 9.925).
- Aliyah Reed-Hammon has been a key performer for the Bulldogs. She will compete in the Beam (9.875), and Vault (9.825), aiming to earn All American status for the second consecutive year.
- Like Price and Reed-Hammon, Liberty Mora will be making her third appearance at Nationals. Mora will be competing in Beam (9.9), and Floor (9.775).
- Senior Jada Reese will be making her final appearance representing Fisk University. She will be competing on Floor (9.8).
- Allie Berkley, a transfer from Lindenwood University, is making her third appearance as well (twice with Lindenwood). The Memphis native has made a significant impact in her first season at Fisk. The junior will be competing in Vault (9.85) and Beam (9.7).
- For the second time in as many seasons, sophomore Ciniah Rosby has qualified for Nationals. Rosby will compete in the All Around. (Bars 9.7, Beam 9.825, Floor 9.775, and Vault 9.725).
- Kaylei McDonald will be making her debut at Nationals. She will compete on Beam (9.7).
Another Dog Qualifies
The Wilberforce University Bulldogs debuted their gymnastics team this season, making them the third HBCU to compete. Sophomore Diamond Cook scored 9.725 in the Floor Exercise. Fisk and Wilberforce are the only NAIA schools that compete in gymnastics. They both are members of the HBCU Athletic Conference in other sports.

Interim Coach Nuriya Mack, who took over in February 2025, expressed her pride and excitement for the team's achievements. "This group of gymnasts is truly special. They have worked incredibly hard, and it's rewarding to see their efforts pay off.
