COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Fisk University Bulldogs wrapped up their last regular season competition this past Saturday scoring a 189.250 against the Air Force Academy. They fought valiantly for each correction, handstand, and tenth. This team has shown immense grit, strength, and love for the sport this season.
"This was a great experience for them to go against Air Force," said Fisk head coach Nuriya Mack. "We enjoyed the support from the crowd and the hospitality. The team went through a lot this season. This was a good way to cap off the regular season."
Once again, Fisk began the competition on the uneven bars. This season, bars has proven to be the event with the most growth within this team. Saturday was no exception as multiple athletes put in some real hard work to finish the season strong with underclassmen showing their wares. Sophomore Aiyana Thomas started the competition off strong with a 9.15. Junior Ciniah Rosby made her presence known with a strong 9.675. Freshman Makia Rosado and junior Sophia Pratt carried the middle of the lineup. To finish strong, freshman Hadassah Diggs achieved a season high score of 9.25 and classmate Kennedi Johnson closed the rotation with a 9.05.
Moving right along to vault, Rosado led the lineup with a crisp 9.075. Diggs followed with a powerful vault and a season high score of 9.65. Rosby kept that momentum going with a consistent 9.7. Senior Aliyah Reed-Hammon added a 9.65 to the mix. Classmate Allie Berkley fought through vault for her team. Thomas wrapped up the rotation with a season high score of 9.5.
The Bulldogs carried the good energy over to a crowd favorite, the floor exercise. Thomas started the team off with an energetic, dance-filled routine. Senior Liberty Mora did the same, scoring a 9.275. Reed-Hammon performed excellently, adding a 9.75 to the team score. Berkley held her own and earned a 9.525. To finish the floor rotation, Rosby earned an impressive season high score of 9.85.
Fisk's last event of the evening was the ever-improving balance beam. Reed-Hammon started the Bulldogs off strong with a 9.825. Pratt earned a season high score of 9.65 to keep the momentum going. Berkley followed with a solid 9.7. Rosby proved her consistency once again with a 9.725. Adding another season high score to the mix, Diggs' showmanship earned her a score of 9.825. Mora ended the rotation with a clean 9.325. Balance beam was the highest scoring event for the Fisk Bulldogs this evening.
While this was the last competition of the regular season, there are still some opportunities to catch the Bulldogs in action. Be on the lookout for 2026 WCGNIC qualifiers announcements. All 2026 WCGNIC events will take place at West Chester University in Hollinger Fieldhouse, March 27th to March 29th.
