Bio
Hailing from Memphis, Tennessee, Nuriya Mack was named Head Coach of Fisk University Women’s Gymnastics in July 2025 after serving as Assistant Coach and Interim Head Coach during the 2024–25 season.

While serving as Interim Head Coach, Mack led Fisk Gymnastics through the most successful competitive stretch in program history. The Bulldogs earned the program’s first outright team victory at the inaugural HBCU Gymnastics Classic and went on to win four consecutive meets, including victories over both Division I and Division II opponents for the first time in program history. During that run, Fisk posted a program-record team score of 194.600. The team’s National Qualifying Score (NQS) also improved from 191.850 in the previous season to 192.935.

Under Mack’s leadership, Fisk produced a program-high seven All-Americans and qualified a program-record seven gymnasts to the Women’s Collegiate Gymnastics National Invitational Championships (WCGNIC), with four athletes advancing to event finals. The Bulldogs captured the most individual event titles in program history, successfully defended the program’s reigning all-around national title, and concluded the postseason with seven national medals, including five gold medals.

Mack began her coaching career at Gymstars Gymnastics, where she served in progressive leadership roles and coached athletes from developmental and Xcel levels through optional programs. During her time there, she contributed to athlete progression, conditioning, and program structure, building a strong technical foundation that carries into her work at the collegiate level.
A former Division I gymnast, Mack competed at Kent State University, where she was a member of the 2015 MAC Championship team and competed as a beam specialist. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Kent State and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration from Louisiana State University Shreveport.
