Alumni Group’s Generous Gift of Sideline Chairs Enhances Fisk Athletics
The Boys of the 60’s Ladies Tweedle & Cebo continue to make a difference at Fisk University
NASHVILLE - Fisk University Athletics received an early Christmas gift this year thanks to the generosity of the Boys of the 60's, Ladies Tweedle & Cebo. The group donated brand new sideline chairs to the department as part of its ongoing beautification efforts. Delivered on December 22, the chairs were a wonderful surprise for the basketball team, waiting for them as they returned from Christmas break.
"They were set up in the gym when we had our first practice and we noticed them right away," said men's basketball senior Mark Cooper. "The Boys of the 60's has made so many great contributions to us. We really appreciate all the things they have done."
The addition of the chairs not only enhances the look of the sideline but also reflects the strong support and pride from Fisk alumni and friends.
Adding to the excitement, the new sideline chairs feature a striking runner adorned with the iconic Bulldog logo, bringing a fresh sense of pride and unity to the gym. The previous chairs, which had served the teams for years, were repurposed for use in other campus facilities, continuing their legacy of supporting student activities. This thoughtful transition reflects the commitment to both tradition and progress within Fisk Athletics.
